About the Project
Sing me your story and I’ll tell it to the world
I’ve always been fascinated by two things
1) Music and its ability to convey emotion more powerfully than almost any other medium
2) People and their stories of how they got to be where they are
and that is what this project is about. Telling stories.
The Stories:
The stories are collected by talking to the performer while shooting the photos. I’ll ask a question, but won’t force an answer. Undoubtedly some stories will be deeper and more emotional than others, but all stories will be told – and that includes my own. How I felt on that day. Where their music took me.
The Photography:
I’m not a professional photographer. I dabble. It’s a hobby of mine. The photos are grainy and gritty, just like their music. I find that the two compliment each other quite well.
The Reasons Behind the Project:
Inspiration is a weird thing. The idea for this project came from two very different people who were both in my life for a very short period of time. I may never speak to either of you again, but thank you. A very large part of this project is yours.

Even the quiet ones in our family, they deserve music”
